Keilana is a dynamic force in the music industry, emerging from the vibrant cultural tapestry of Hawai‘i and now making waves in the bustling streets of Brooklyn, New York. A bi-coastal powerhouse vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter, Keilana has earned critical acclaim as one of Hawai‘i’s most promising R&B artists and a rising star from the islands. Her journey is one of discovery, self-love, perseverance, and advocacy for indigenous peoples, women, and humanity.
With over 13 years of experience in Hawai‘i’s music scene as a songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, and touring musician, Keilana expanded her horizons in 2023 by relocating to New York. Driven by a vision to cultivate new, innovative opportunities for the R&B and Soul scene in Hawai‘i—and to redefine Hawaiian music on the world stage—she has embraced a bi-coastal lifestyle and work ethic that has propelled her performances beyond Hawai‘i and New York to audiences worldwide.
Since 2023, Keilana has toured extensively across the country as a member of The Full Circle Band with Hawai‘i reggae icon Mike Love, as well as sharing stages with local favorites like The Green and Anuhea. She has also collaborated with acclaimed artists including Allen Stone, Kenny Loggins, Gabe Bondoc, AJ Rafael, and many more, enriching her musical versatility and broadening her creative reach.
In 2024, Keilana joined Infinite Ethos, a collective of R&B/Hip-Hop creatives dedicated to shaping intentional, genre-defining work. The collaboration will support the launch of her sophomore R&B album, When Flowers Bloom—a deeply personal and culturally layered project—slated for release in Spring 2026.
Keilana believes deeply in the power of art to foster connection—to our past, present, and future, and to those around us who share this planet. She aspires to be a global citizen, amplifying the voices of those in need of compassion and understanding. Her dedication has earned her prestigious accolades, including two Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards for Most Promising Artist and Best R&B Album in 2021. Her Grammy-nominated debut album, I Am, topped the iTunes R&B charts and resonated worldwide with its soulful melodies and empowering lyrics.
In 2021, Keilana went viral on TikTok and Instagram through her work in the wedding industry, which has taken her across the U.S., culminating in the 2024 NACE (National Association of Catering and Events) award for Best Soloist Musician. She has since serenaded countless couples, families, and organizations with her unforgettable live performances.
Beyond music, Keilana is a passionate educator, having taught at Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawai‘i – West Oʻahu. At the beginning of 2025, she launched KOLEA—Keilana’s Online Learning Experience for Artists—a digital platform designed to empower and support fellow musicians and aspiring creatives through mentorship and education. She also provides one-on-one mentorship to a select group of emerging musicians and artists each year, fostering authentic growth and creative development.
Her commitment to social impact extends through her role as a board member of Women Speaking Out, a nonprofit dedicated to mentorship, mental health, and domestic violence awareness. Keilana uses her platform to advocate for causes close to her heart, bringing hope and pride to the communities she serves.
